Can you enrich the lives of young people as a Catering Assistant?
We are looking for a responsible, caring Catering Assistant to join our fantastic team at 3 Dimesnions School, Somerset. As Catering Assistant, you will help support our pupils in their daily lives, ensuring they are well fed, comfortable, and healthy.
This is a great opportunity to work as part of a team committed to helping pupils with varied and complex needs. You will work alongside our Catering Manager to prepare and serve meals to our pupils and our team.
Our Catering Assistants carry out an essential and role to provide meals required by the pupils and young people in our care. You will take pride in maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area and prepare the dining hall before and after serving. For many of our pupils, consistency is key and our Catering Assistants take time to make sure everything is as it should be for a smooth lunchtime service.

Previous experience in a similar setting would be great but isn’t essential as full training will be given, and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. This role is ideal for people working in customer facing industries including retail, hospitality, and leisure, looking for a new role that makes a real difference to pupil’s lives and futures.
You will be quality focused, efficient, able to work at pace and motivated to help us provide a safe, caring environment where every pupil can thrive.
About the school
3 Dimensions School is in an exciting phase of growth and development. With not just one, but two school sites! Resulting in a far wider offer of educational places, and a wealth of opportunities for young people with SEN (i.e., Learning difficulties, speech, language and communication difficulties, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, PDA, Attachment Disorder, and young people who have experienced previous trauma).
