The post holder will play a key role in establishing the operational infrastructure necessary to support the running of a wide range of activities at Leeds Cathedral, Cathedral House, Wheeler Hall, Holy Rosary Church and the newly refurbished Holy Rosary Community Room.
This is a new role which recognises the evolving demands of parish life and the advantages of introducing lay involvement in the operational management of our parish structure. The role requires excellent people management skills and will have day-to-day line management responsibility for a small team. It has a particular focus on facilities management and a key aspect of the role will be improving income generation from Wheeler Hall and the Holy Rosary Community Room. The role promises to be very rewarding and would suit an applicant who is looking for the variety of a broad role, who thrives on collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and who enjoys taking ownership of tasks. It is suited to someone who is adaptable and willing to work in a challenging environment.
The primary location of work will be Leeds Cathedral, which as well as being the Mother Church of the Diocese of Leeds, is home to the celebrated Diocese of Leeds School Singing Programme and Keyboard Studies Programme. This makes the Cathedral a particularly busy and often musical place to work!
