An exciting new opportunity has arisen to lead our PCB Assembly team.
As PCB Cell Manager you will manage the complete production process including all assembly, manufacturing and test activities. You will be responsible for approximately 20 direct staff and ensure the manufacturing cell achieves its KPI s.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Electrical / Electronics manufacturing having managed similar assembly areas. You will be familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools along with a passion for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team to achieve the areas KPI s
- Ensure the performance, behavior, training and welfare of all staff in the cell
- Ensure all cell staff achieve their targets with respect to throughput, quality, attendance & timekeeping.
- Drive improvements in the Cell using Lean Manufacturing tools.
- Help with recruitment of new team members
- Responsible for training to multi-skill to create a flexible workforce.
- Developing staff through Performance Development Planning (PDP) and Appraisals
Qualifications
- Ideally hold a Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar discipline.
- Numerate & Computer Literate and good level of MS office applications i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.
- Previous line management or relevant experience.
Additional Skills
- Experience with an ERP system for management of resources.
- Knowledge of IPC 620 and/or IPC 610 or equivalent (preferred) but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal and effective listening skills
