Castlefield Recruitment are working with a large housing association based in central London in order to recruit a Financial Accountant. This not for profit has taken the lead in commercialising the sector, taking advantage of joint ventures with private construction firms across the country. Role:
As an Accountant you will be responsible for consolidating accounts for multiple divisions across the organisation
Duties:

• Responsibility for the planning and delivery of the activities’ month end process including production of monthly, quarterly and other ad hoc statutory and management reports
• Assisting budget holders in making strategic decisions based on sound financial assessments using appropriate investment appraisal techniques.
• Providing regular forecast of the activity’s expected outturn and assist budget holders in monitoring their budgets and delivering their operational targets
• Producing annual budgets for periodic reviews with business partners and budget holders of both income and expenditure budgets and capital expenditure budgets with due attention to maximisation of income, protection of capital investments, returns on investments and the delivery of efficiency and value for money targets
• Providing technical accounting expertise around the activities including expert knowledge of the applicable Financial Reporting Standards (FRS)
  

Person:
The successful candidate:

• Accountancy qualifiaction desirable (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
• Have the drive to develop and upskill staff
• Sector knowledge would be favourable
• Available at short notice
