Chemist (Senior)
Our Wakefield laboratory is searching for a chemist to join our team, to help us maximise revenue from biogas generation, by an understanding of the energy potential of feedstock materials and help us manage ongoing projects.

In a return we offer salary of £31,658 to £37,136, plus up to 10% Bonus (~ £3,713), Company Pension, 25 Holiday Days + Bank Holiday, and benefits catalogue.
Total Package at the time of joining up to £40,849.
We'll help you progress and develop yourself further, and will support you with creating a development plan to achieve that.
What will I be doing?
As our Chemist, you’ll help us with testing and sampling wastewater, and with specific processes for the AD industry.
Your time will be split between laboratory, and our office department (same building), in order for you to be able to work on your projects- such as organising sampling and its collection from our clients throughout the year.
- Our settings are not a standard production line. You won’t be bored with us, and our small and dynamic team is used to be taking an ownership in what they do!
- The working patter is 0800 – 1600, but we can be flexible.
- This is an on-site work, however Hybrid option can be visited following successfully finishing probationary period.
- You might be asked to attend a specific training, however you will be properly compensated with 1.5x overtime rate, increasing to 2x on weekends, and to 3x on bank holidays.
What are the requirements?
- Experience from laboratory settings, with relevant qualification to the graduate level.
- Ownership for laboratory operations focusing on wastewater analysis and specific tests for anaerobic digesters.
- Experience with Biochemical Methane Potential (BMP) / Residual Biogas Potential (RBP) processes.
- Experience managing project/projects.
- Great communication, organization, and proactiveness
