The Opportunity:

Finatal is partnered with a global Legal Services firm, backed by mid-market private equity investors, that are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their dynamic executive team. The organisation is currently operating at c.£10m+ EBITDA across numerous jurisdictions and plans to embark on an exciting journey of growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. The business is seeking to exit within the next 3-5 years, providing a rare and lucrative opportunity for a financial leader to shape the continued financial trajectory of an already established and growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute financial strategies to drive both organic and acquisitive growth, ensuring our company scales in size.
• Lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting, providing strategic insights for decision-making.
• Drive the financial aspects of potential acquisitions, emphasizing seamless integration.
• Continue the professionalisation of the finance function, implementing robust financial controls and procedures.
• Build out the finance team to ensure the business is prepared for scalable growth.
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership to optimize financial performance and support operational excellence.
• Prepare the company for a strategic 9-figure exit within the specified timeframe.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar scale PE-backed professional services business is essential.
• CFO experience with a track record of successful financial leadership in a mid-market context.
• Expertise in mergers and acquisitions, with a demonstrated ability to lead through integration.
• Strong strategic and analytical capabilities to navigate global financial landscapes.
• Experience in building out a finance function and professionalizing systems is crucial.
• Commitment to steering the company through continued scaling and successful exit.
