Chief Operating Officer - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: from £90,000pa dependant on experience

Our client, one of the world's leading financial institutions, is seeking a talented Chief Operating Officer to join their GM Engineering, FX and Emerging Markets Technology team. About the Role:

- Financial Management: You will work closely with the Business Management finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and tracking for the FX and EM Technology teams. You will identify areas of overspending or underspending and provide recommendations for resource allocations.

- People Agenda: As part of the broader team, you will play a vital role in managing requests for information, business presentations, and responses to enterprise issues and communications. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with team structure requirements and driving the people agenda, including employee development, engagement, and training adoption.

- Project Management Oversight: You will provide centralised project oversight for the FX and EM Technology development teams, producing consolidated project reporting for senior leadership. This will involve working with project managers to capture key project metrics and information, conducting project reviews, and handling ad hoc initiatives.

- Operational Risk Management: You will proactively identify and address operational risk and control issues within FX Technology, working with the team to track and resolve any identified issues. Compliance coordination will also be a key focus, ensuring that all control requirements are being met.

Skills and Background:

Background in a financial services setting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to engage with senior management and executive-level stakeholders.
Familiarity with adaptable and flexible approaches, responding to changing business requirements.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated and delivery-focused.
Intermediate/Expert skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
