Diversity Role Models is a dynamic charity whose vision is a world where everyone embraces diversity and can thrive. Our mission is to promote understanding and acceptance of individual differences and end LGBTQ+ bullying in schools. We do this by harnessing the power of storytelling and delivering pioneering educational workshops.

Since launching in 2011, we have made a huge impact. However, we have just scratched the surface and we have ambitious growth plans as we look to expand and develop further nationally and into new regions.

About the role

We’re now seeking a Chief Operating Officer to spearhead our operational and financial strategies, driving efficiency, sustainability, and growth. You will play a key and active role in providing strategic direction and oversight for our operational and financial functions, ensuring alignment with our mission and goals, as we continue to grow and expand.

You will drive efficiency and effectiveness across our operations, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions, and foster a culture of continuous evolution, where every team member is empowered to contribute to our success. Equally, you will put our people at the heart of our work, support our staff with development initiatives, providing opportunities for growth and advancement within the organisation.

About you

We seek someone with proven experience in operational leadership roles, with strong financial acumen and a track record of effective financial management and budget oversight. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills are a must, and you will come with the ability to inspire and motivate others. Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities will come naturally to you, and you will have a focus on driving results and achieving organisational goals. Crucially, you will be able to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social impact.

We are based in Soho, London, and whilst we have a hybrid working culture there is an expectation that 3 days per week will be office-based.
