Description

• Develop and implement comprehensive risk frameworks
  
• Provide strategic oversight of the bank's enterprise risk management
  
• Ensure compliance with all relevant risk-related regulations
  
• Present risk reports to the board and relevant stakeholders
  
• Lead and develop a team of risk professionals
  
• Develop strategies to manage financial risks
  
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure risk management strategies are integrated across the organisation
  
• Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and changes in the regulatory environment
  
• Manage the relationship with the regulator and all senior stakeholders
  

Profile

A successful Chief Risk Officer - SMF 4 should have:

• A solid understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
  
• Ideally worked in a top tier Bank and then moved to a mid sized firm as a CRO in the UK
• Experience at a Board level in the financial services sector (ideally retail or corporate banking)
  
• Proven track record of managing risk in a banking environment
  
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop a team
  
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly
  
• strong relationship with the FCA and PRA
