We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager for a Children’s Home, who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and has experience in managing a home with a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in children’s residential care and possess the necessary qualifications and experience to lead a team effectively.
Day-to-day of the role:- Oversee the daily operations of the children’s home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards.
- Lead and manage the staff team to ensure the provision of high-quality care and support for the children.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that reflect current legislation and best practice.
- Ensure that the home provides a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for the children.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively, maintaining the financial viability of the home.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies, including local authorities and healthcare professionals.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, supervisions, and appraisals, promoting professional development within the team.
- Prepare for and participate in Ofsted inspections, striving to achieve and maintain high ratings.
- Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification.
- Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent.
- A minimum of two years of experience in children’s residential care.
- Proven experience with Ofsted in running a home graded ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’.
- Must hold a full UK driver’s license.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
