SCHOOLS BASED ACROSS GREATER MANCHESTER & CHESHIRE
We require an Art Therapist and/or Counsellor to provide therapeutic/counselling interventions with children and Young People who are based within schools and who experience difficulties as identified through teaching staff and their families.
You will plan interventions based on assessment of individual needs and enhance the social and emotional development of children and Young People through play and creative expression.
To apply you will have experience of working with children and families, as well as making autonomous clinical decisions about your own professional practice and approaches. This includes partaking in supervision one to one and clinical group reflective supervision with other counsellors and therapists.
You must have competent IT skills and be confident to complete reports and therapeutic formulations for children and Young People when required and guide the school on these matters. The role also includes supporting the school staff with safeguarding.
Registered counsellor/therapist status with the BACP, BAAT or UKCP is essential. However, we will discuss experience and qualifications on a person-by-person basis if you are selected for an interview. The salary includes accrued annual leave.
If this sounds like the next step you are looking for and you would like to work for an organisation passionate about transforming lives, we would love to hear from you!
