Position: Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Liverpool, L6
Wage £12 P/hr Full time + Sleep in rate
Responsibilities:
1. Provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people in residential care.
2. Develop and implement individual care plans for each child, considering their emotional, social, educational, and psychological needs.
3. Support children in their day-to-day activities, including meal times, personal hygiene, and recreational activities.
4. Act as a positive role model for the children, promoting independence, self-esteem, and positive behavior.
5. Work closely with other staff members, including social workers, therapists, and teachers, to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children in care.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each child's progress, behavior, and any significant events.
7. Attend regular training sessions and meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge in working with children in residential care.
8. Respond appropriately to any challenging behavior or crisis situations, following the established protocols and ensuring the safety of all involved.
9. Communicate effectively with the children, their families, and other professionals involved in their care, fostering positive relationships and collaboration.
Requirements:
1. A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children and young people.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
4. Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
5. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
6. A clear background check and references from previous employers.
7. Relevant qualifications in social work, childcare, or a related field is essential
