Job Role:  Childrens Senior Social Worker
These teams will focus on complex children in need casework, work with children and families who are experiencing domestic abuse, those in need of child protection and other vulnerable young people in need of a statutory service. We also escalate into pre-proceedings and issue care proceedings in these teams. We are beginning to re-organise our teams to allow a focus on children and young people who are not able to be at home, facilitating the journey to permanence and onwards to leaving care. If you would like to join us, and have experience in these areas of family intervention and support these are the roles for you!
As a Social worker you must have a degree in Social work with a minimum 2 years post qualifying experience and passed your AYSE, experience in an NHS Establishment or a local authority is desirable.
To act in accordance with SWE registration requirements and Code of Conduct for exercising accountability and professional practice.
To provide professional Social work assessments to support the commissioning process in line with care management and continuing care.
Employers will be keen to see that you have a friendly and caring attitude, and understand and respect people who need healthcare support.
Previous experience and/or qualifications in Social work are essential to apply for this role.
