Children's Support Worker (Trainee/Agency)

Daily tasks could include:

• Encouraging children and enabling independence.
• Teaching basic life skills.
• Appropriately dealing with challenging behaviours.
• Support in the community and/or education.
• Driving the children to appointments and activities.

The young people have often experienced trauma and may have attachment disorders, behavioural difficulties, and minor learning difficulties. We offer them an understanding, through meaningful relationships aimed at keeping them safe and able to enjoy the world around them. We desire excellent listening skills to fully understand their views, wishes and feelings whilst remaining completely professional at all times.

The role can be challenging at times and requires patience, resilience, self-motivation, and determination however, the personal rewards are vast.

Essentials:

• You will need to be able to commit to one or more of the following shift patterns: 8am-11pm, 3pm-11pm and sleeps .
• Please note the role requires candidates to be aged 21and over. This is an industry standard regulation set by Ofsted. They outline that all staff working with children and young people within residential care home settings, must be 4 years older than the oldest child residing in the home.
• Successful candidates must have an online enhanced DBS (must hold papercopy) or obtain a brand-new one.
• You must hold a FullUK driving licence and have access to a car.

As an agency we do not hold a licence to offer sponsorships.
