Role : C&ID Finance Manager
18 Month FTC
Job Purpose :
This role requires adherence to current GSK GxP and compliance procedures.
- Manage the delivery of any business integrations impacting SCF and delivery of the larger, more complex projects
- Provide functional Trading Partners support in Mergers & Acquisitions, in-licensing agreements, outsourced manufacturing, NPI, network change, divestments and any other business development activity
- Represent the functional interest in strategy determination, through due diligence to integration completion
- Develop relationships across the GSK organization and with relevant external stakeholders to deliver the above.
- Manage process design and issue resolution associated with SCF design/implementation
- Bring functional expertise from End to End FS requirements for invoicing/ reporting including Global Profit release flow process design
- Ensure the appropriate standards are delivered to meet the business requirement (i.e. Distribution Risk Assessment support)
- Assess the financial impact of new integration and divestment deals on the trading partner and supply chain finance, and be able to successfully integrate these across the business as usual operation
Key Responsibilites
As Project Lead:
- Manage relationships across the GSK organization and with relevant external stakeholders
- Influence understanding of trade route requirements as part of business development strategy and contract setting – ensure all business development and divestment contracts can be supported by SCF (invoicing & reporting & GSK standards – Inco-terms) processes
- Drive due diligence as required, such as initial scoping and impact assessment through to redesign of the process.
- Project Manage using the CI&D framework new business integration approach:
- On time delivery of all functional milestones for launch, supporting “Shipment Right First Time” (SRFT)
- Appropriate risk management and duty optimization
- Stakeholder management and communication
- Resource allocation alignment
- Deliver workable invoicing processes and understanding of end to end Trade Route requirements
- Ensure that the strategy and implementation of Trade Routes and deal requirements support our key stakeholders such as Corporate Finance, Trading Partner Finance, Global Tax, Legal, IT and SCF BAU
- Ensure the integrations and divestments are delivered within appropriate standards and meet the trading partner business requirement (i.e. Licensing, Contracts, Financial, Risk Assessment and Management,)
- Lead via focused management and coordination on all mergers, acquisitions, new product launches and divestment first shipment activities
- Ensure a clear and accountable handover to business as usual operations once steady state is achieved and all queries are closed.
Finance Responsibilities:
- Assess the financial impact of integration or divestment by conducting contract reviews, interpreting financial deal instructions from the M&A / Corporate finance team and implementing them within SCA, Trading Partner Finance across R2R/P2P/O2C.
- Be able to understand and take a lead role in ensuring Accruals, Prepayments and Provisions relating to new integrations are posted correctly and managing GRNI and PPV associated with your project.
- Take a leadership role in stock accounting issues within your project, such as stock transfers, write offs, implementation of tolling within a trade route and necessary invoicing requirements
- Responsible for the financial control of transactions relating to the trading partner for integration projects.

Basic Qualification
- Individual will require demonstrable Project Management skills in order to cope with the volume and complexity of projects under their responsibility
- Individual will have to be articulate with excellent communication skills to accurately convey information/requirements efficiently and effectively.
- Knowledge of dealing with a variety of technical finance aspects relating to business change (including goodwill, intangibles, FX, VAT, tolling, etc)
- Financial process management experience is essential as the role will require contract review and development of compliant operating models in the absence of standard solutions.
- Ability to think strategically at an operating model level, as well as at a detailed process specific level
- Strong interpersonal skills capable of building relationships across different stakeholder and functional groups in the organization
- Ability to influence others and broker mutually acceptable solutions
- Ability to operate across a wide variety of levels within the organization, between detailed hands on operators within the business units through to senior executives
Preferred Experience
- International Supply Chain experience – Inco-terms, IOR/EOR, Customs
