We are recruiting for a a newly created role due to promotion within this exceptional investment bank, joining a team of 6 in Finance.

This team provides a range of support services for the Bank to ensure that the performance of the branch is accurately reflected for the variety of interested parties and early alert is provided for material transactional booking errors. These include duties around day-to-day transactional accounting for the business, preparing and creating financial accounts, reporting on financial performance, preparing relevant regulatory returns and providing information to assist managers in making strategic decisions. The Finance Team provide a range of services and reporting that include Financial & Management Accounting, Accounts payable management, Financial Control, Treasury finance, and Branch MIS on behalf of the Branch, Head Office Central Bank, PRA, HMRC and Bank of England. The incumbent will be responsible for: ▪ Preparation of the monthly management accounts. This involves posting monthly journals, accruals, depreciation, prepayments etc., daily review of the P&L and balance sheet and a monthly commentary of actuals versus budget ▪ Responsible for the preparation of required UK and UAE Regulatory Reporting returns ▪ To support the Group Finance work streams for Finance related initiatives to ensure London Branch is in line with Head Office as well as local jurisdictional requirements. ▪ Review processes to enhance the controls and procedure notes within Finance. ▪ Constant reviews and improvement on processes to ensure that reporting risks are mitigated. ▪ Coordinate with Group Finance and IT for any new systems requirement by the London Business/Finance and represent Finance Team for all UATs required in this regard. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Core Responsibilities

 Balance Sheet reconciliation's, relating to payroll accounts / accrued / deferred revenue / suspense accounts etc

Monthly revenue review to ensure that all in line with revenue recognition policies

Monthly review and reconciliation of Accounts Payables reports, and Suspense accounts

 Preparation of daily financial highlights ▪ Preparation of monthly manual Journals 

 Assist in any other adhoc / special projects or exercises within the Finance Function if required and where the relevant skill set can help Financial Reporting

To produce timely and reliable management reports according to required frequency

 To develop and control a centralised accounting system to ensure that accounts are effectively managed

To perform month end for Accounts Payable, VAT, Fixed Assets and General Ledger in the finance system. ▪ Performing the monthly balance sheet reconciliation's, accurately and in a timely manner ▪ Assist / prepare monthly and quarterly MIS or adhoc reports for EXCO / HO ▪ To investigate variances and provide analysis of differences Other Key Duties and Team Support ▪ Provide cover for the Finance Treasury Officer by producing daily Treasury reports to HO ▪ Protecting operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential. ▪ Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related projects as needed ▪ Providing cover for Accounts Payable Administrator ▪ Work on any adhoc assignment or project assigned by Head of Finance ▪ Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications;
