Statutory Accounts Assistant Manager

Are you a Statutory Accounts Assistant Manager or Business Services Assistant Manager, fully ACA qualified with at least 1 year PQE, looking to upgrade to a modern and entrepreneurial West End based accountancy practice based in an easily accessible location? Are you looking for a role which is mainly Statutory Accounts, tax and advisory based, that will also involve managing a portfolio of clients and being their main point of contact, managing workflow and reviewing work? If so, this growing niche accountancy practice firm based in a prime location in Zone 1 Central London is looking to recruit an ACA qualified Statutory Accounts Assistant Manager / Business Services Assistant Manager due to impressive growth over the last few years and winning new clients from larger firms. Your role will be varied and will include: managing your own portfolio of clients (including a mixture of corporate clients and individuals), reporting directly to Manager and Partner level, liaising directly with all clients, preparing Statutory Accounts from start to finish under both FRS 102 and FRS 105, corporation tax returns and offering clients advise how to improve their business. You will also get the chance to work on other areas of accountancy such as Personal tax returns, VAT returns, various reports, analysis and business management assignments, staff management duties and reviewing work. Your role will be varied and challenging, and training will be provided where necessary. The role will be a mixture of hands on for larger and more complex assignments (mainly corporate clients) and reviewing for smaller jobs (mainly personal clients). You will work in a newly created role that will provide you with many growth opportunities in the future including the chance to be promoted to a higher level in a short space of time. No experience of the client base is necessary although a strong interest in working with creative, media and Film & TV clients is essential.

To be considered for this new role (May 2024) you will be a qualified ACA with at least 1 year PQE and currently working for a UK based practice firm with experience of the above duties, particularly preparing Statutory Accounts from start to finish (especially for FRS 102 clients), tax returns (ideally both corporation tax and personal tax) and reviewing work. You will either be working for a small or medium sized firm and looking to step up to a larger firm or you will already be working for a large practice and are looking to work in a more friendly firm with a better work life balance and faster progression. Experience of a wide range of software packages would be an advantage but training will be provided if necessary. You must now be looking to upgrade to an entrepreneurial and modern boutique West End based accountancy firm which is one of the main firms in London which works with high profile Media, Entertainment, Creative, Film & TV clients.
