Our client is looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join their growing multi-disciplinary team at their London head office.
Role: Civil Design Engineer
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + package
Location: Kensington, London
Duties:
- Undertaking Civil engineering design tasks for projects, including drafting briefs, conducting calculations, reviewing designs from others, assessing risks, and creating drawings.
- Collaborating with the CAD Team to generate and assess drawings/models of their designs.
- Liaising with site delivery teams to gather feedback on constructibility and preferred construction methods.
- Contributing to various design reviews like HAZOPS, ALMs, and Stage Gate reviews.
- Compiling geotechnical reports and coordinating ground investigation activities for projects.
- Conducting site visits to engage with operatives, assess designs and installations, and collect feedback for enhancing future designs.
We seek candidates who:
- Possess proficiency in using AUTOCAD for 2D (Essential) and 3D (Optional) modelling.
- Demonstrate experience with Finite Element Analysis software.
- Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Have a strong grasp of Design standards, principles, and the application of Eurocodes/British Standards.
- Are familiar with Geotechnical and reinforced concrete design.
- Hold a full UK driving license and are willing to travel/have their own transport for site visits within the Thames Water and Southern Water operational areas.

- Demonstrate self-motivation and drive.
- Exhibit keen attention to detail and thoroughness in their work.
- Display strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask across different projects simultaneously.
