Our Global Claims Data & Analytics function is focused on enabling a data-driven claims organization through actionable data and core business metrics that can deliver key business insights and exceptional service to our clients and partners.

 

As we develop a Global Claims data and analytics strategy that moves us toward a greater focus on the use of data and data-driven insights, we are seeking a Global Claims Data/BI Analyst who will be part of a team of Data/BI analysts to drive development efforts.  This is a key individual contributor role responsible for the analysis and development of claims data, reporting, and insights.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

       Work with stakeholders to understand requirements for data and reporting.

       Data development using appropriate tools and techniques to process data required for advanced analytics.

       Reporting development using approved BI tools to support the needs of business users and generation of ad hoc reports.

       Perform data analysis to support the development of industry trends and insights.

       Perform analysis to support validation of use cases for POCs.

       Extract data from external sources and processes to support analytical initiatives.

       Collaborate with the Innovation, Data, and Analytics (IDA) team to support planned initiatives.

       Perform testing and validation of developed data, reporting, and analytical assets.

       Contribute to the development of data quality controls and data governance processes.

       Provide support for the generation of business metrics, KPIs, and management reporting.

       Support business requests for claims analysis and data queries to enable business and client needs.


You will report to the Head of Global claims Data & and analytics.

SHARE your talent
We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills and Abilities:

       Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

       Relevant experience in demonstrated data analysis and development.

       Outstanding SQL knowledge and Business Intelligence tools experience.

       Reporting tools development experience including Power BI required.

       Experience in scripting or programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL, VBA) preferred.

 

Desired Skills and Abilities:

       Experience analyzing use cases, and data requirements, executing POCs, and validating solutions as they are built and implemented.

       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

       Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to tackle complex business challenges.

       Experience working in an insurance organization is a plus.
