Cleaner (Housekeeper)

If you are looking for a full-time cleaning/housekeeping role in Merton then this is the job for you! The role is being offered on a fixed term one year contract basis.

We have 21 properties in the London Borough of Merton where we provide housing and support for people who were recently homeless and are now moving forward positively with their lives.

We need a cleaner to visit each property on a weekly basis on a schedule and provide good quality cleaning of the communal areas including removal of rubbish and ensuring health & safety is adhered to. You will also need to deep clean rooms when customers move on so that we can quickly let these to new customers who need them. You will work your hours over five days Monday to Friday and need to be able to get round all the properties and complete your duties during the allocated times.

You will need to be able to work your hours during normal office hours Monday to Friday and generally between 8am and 7pm – we can agree the patterns with you.

SHSW is a Service based in Merton, we have 21 dispersed houses, accommodating over 75 people including people leaving care and young parents.

When customers move into one of our units in Merton, we aim to empower them to make decisions about their support. We work with them to assess their needs, choose their support worker and plan 1:1 sessions. This allows us to immediately begin creating a tailored journey for them, informed by their goals and aspirations.

In addition to tailored key-work for each person, the Merton services deliver wider programmes that help people move on from homelessness and build new skills.
