We are currently looking for a Cleansing Operative who can work closely with the Carmarthenshire County Council.
Role: Cleansing Operative
Location: Trostre Depot
Pay Rate: £12.18 per hour
Shift Pattern: Full time, 37 hours pw
The Purpose of this Role:-
To provide a service to the Outdoor recreation service removing and managing waste across the sites
Requirements:
-Driving license
-Customer service skills
-Willing to work in adverse weather
-Knowledge of Safe Systems of work
Your responsibilities:-
-Emptying and sorting of refuse containers
-Collecting illicit tipping
-Litter picking where required
-Taking rubbish to the amenity site at the end of the rounds
-Drive a vehicle, reporting all defects and ensuring that the road traffic act is adhered to at all times
-Encourage and monitor recycling across the site
-Investigate and implement procedures that improve recycling
-Report to line manager when stock levels are low
-Clean relevant areas in the absence of cleaning staff
-Ensure that work is undertaken according to the Departmental Health and Safety Policy, any safe systems of work and the Health and Safety of work 1974
-Undertake any other duties by the request of management
