FIXED TERM CONTRACT
This position sits in the Exchange and Clearing Services (ECS) Team. ECS is responsible for developing a firm wide centre of excellence for all exchange and margined trading processes, the team ensures complete and accurate capture of all exchange and margined trading activities across all systems and manages access to exchange traded derivatives platforms globally.
The ECS team sits within the Office of the Chief Commercial Officer and is part of the Business Operations and Transformation team.

The position is responsible for accurate and timely reconciliation of the exchange traded deal lifecycle from instrument setup, trade capture and daily position reconciliation.
Break investigation and resolution is reached through liaison with front and middle office, product controllers, Finance IT teams, as well as external Exchanges, Clearing Brokers, and Executing Brokers.
Exchange trading is an increasing area of strategic importance for the Group and as such the area is evolving.

The scope of exchange and product coverage is increasing and there is a drive to modernise and improve systems and processes. Consequently, there will be numerous opportunities for the successful candidate to be involved in various improvement and growth-related projects.

What you’ll bring to the role?
- Ensure timely completion of Trade and Position reconciliations on T+1.
- Understand breaks and investigate accordingly.
- Send trade break status reports and EOD reports with relevant commentary.
- Raise queries with SEFE Front Office, Exchanges, Clearing Brokers, and Executing Brokers.
- Queries to be resolved within the Business Day raised.
- Promptly escalate potential issues on T and T+1 to management in an efficient and timely manner.
- Action trade amendments within ETRMs.
- Matching of reconciled trades within the ETRMs.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for any clearing exceptions identified and design, agree and/or implement preventative measures to avoid recurring breaks.
- Review and provide process and system improvements across the team to streamline and automate current processes.
- Highly motivated self starter with strong problem solving abilities.
- A working knowledge of trading systems, preferably ENDUR.
