Clerical Officer – Radiology (Newry).

Our public sector client seeks a Temporary OngoingClerical Officer based in Newry

Hours of Work 37.5hrs, Hours of work will be between 8am and 8pm Monday-Sunday)

Rate of pay £10.42 per hour Saturday rate £14.69, Sunday rate £19.07

Duties include:

1.Provide cover for Radiology reception including booking in walk-in and visit list

patients on RIS (Radiology Information System)

2. Input information on departmental computer systems such as Sectra RIS and PAS,

ensuring the data contained is accurate and up-to-date.

3. Add radiology paper and e-requests to approval safety lists.
4. Book patients for radiology appointments considering priority and availability of staff.
5. Confirm patient appointments to ensure sessions are booked to capacity and to

avoid DNAs.

6. Validate safety lists to ensure quality and accuracy of data held on RIS.
7. Print and send authorised radiology reports to referrers on a daily basis.
8. Provide clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, word processing and audio

typing.

10. Receive phone calls and deal with or redirect enquiries as necessary.

Essential Criteria

• 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language or equivalent/higher qualification OR
• 1 years’ experience in a clerical/administrative role.
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office, or equivalent.
• Flexible with regard to working arrangements – the post holder will be required to

participate in evening/weekend rota as required to meet the needs of the service.
