The Clients and Markets Analyst for Tax will sit in the Tax Marketing team, a function within BDO's Marketing, Sales and Clients team, covering all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development for the stream. You will support the Head of Tax Marketing with the analytic analysis needed to make business decisions and support the team in segmentation/pipeline and MI work.

In this role you’ll:

• Study market conditions, planned legislation changes and current sales activity to make recommendations for future marketing activity
• Analyze qualitative data, trends, strategies, and competition aiming at increasing competitiveness.
• Research, compile data, conduct analysis and write and deliver content to support clients & markets initiatives
• Support and work with Head of Tax Marketing & BD, Strategic Senior Projects Manager and the Tax Marketing Directorate to complete research and data analysis requests via engagement with primary and secondary data sources
• Compile reports from internal and external data products and sources to provide the business with commercial and strategic insights and recommendations based on client shape and market opportunity
• Support the business with data collection, analysis and reporting on market, competitor and company research to inform business planning and targeting strategies
• Work on the presentation of data through charts, graphs and tables, but also in exploring innovative new ways communicate trends and tell data stories
• Identify new, valuable data sources or fresh insights derived from existing sources and bringing them into the focus of the Tax Marketing team and Tax Markets Directorate
• Keep up to date on industry news and innovations in our core sectors, contributing ideas which could help us in continuing to lead our marketsField appropriate ad hoc research enquiries to help staff best identify how to complete their proposed research task
• Utilise and liaise with our outsourced research providers, Brook Intelligence, as necessary to help research deliveryand build a close working relationship with the internal national research team
