As a leader in environmental stewardship, we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Climate Change Programme Manager to join our team.
The Job:
As a Climate Change Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our climate change initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to address Climate Change.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive sustainable practices and policies.
- Managing a wide-ranging programme of climate activities.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of climate initiatives and making data-driven adjustments.
- Staying updated with the latest environmental policies, technologies, and trends.
In addition to overseeing climate action, this position involves launching new initiatives and providing assistance for ongoing Climate Change projects. This includes tasks like reducing carbon emissions from the council’s buildings and fleet, promoting the adoption of building retrofit practices, and enriching the district’s natural environment.
The Person:
You will be able to demonstrate the following:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Climate Studies, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Climate Change management, environmental policy, or sustainability projects.
- Strong leadership and project or programme management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
