As part of our service developments and transformation across Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS), we are pleased to offer and to be able to implement one fulltime substantive clinical team leader post covering two CMHTs in each area of the Central and West locality.
This is an exciting role for someone who is proactive and passionate about innovation and providing a high-quality holistic approach to the care of people who have been identified by themselves or others as in need of secondary care mental health support.

The base of each role is yet to be determined, applicants will be asked for preference at interview, we anticipate the roles to be based as follows - 1 x West Lancs, 1 x Chorley & South Ribble and 1 x Preston.
The roles will provide an opportunity for better joint, holistic working within the CMHT, CMHIT and with the internal and external stakeholders, clinicians and people we work with and support, including the voluntary sectors.
It is an opportunity to review pathways as part of the ongoing transformation changes, work with other clinical team leaders within the locality, and multiple different clinicians and people with lived experience. The role will support pathways for service users and carers, reviewing any issues including digital changes, working with others to resolve these and reviewing the impact of changes made. This includes demonstrating integrity, supporting others around appropriate clinical decision making, leading training sessions and team developments, clinical supervision, providing accurate reports, attending and supporting people attending coroners’ court and working under pressure
The successful candidate would also work with a small (approx. 4 people) caseload of particularly complex service users involving multiple professionals and teams in order to role model excellent clinical decision making and team working.
Lancashire &South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
