SalaryMy client is searching for a Solicitor or Legal Executive specialising in Clinical Negligence to join their Manchester, Greater Manchester or Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire offices.
This exciting new role can be based in either my client's Hull or Manchester offices. You will have the benefit of excellent hybrid and flexible working policies. It is a great opportunity to work and assist on high-value, complex medical negligence cases.
The cases comprise adult and child brain injury, amputation cases, and other cases of catastrophic injury. The role requires you to act as a point of contact for the client, experts, counsel, and defendant and assist with all case-related tasks.
Duties
• Liaising with clients, counsel, defendants, experts and other third parties.
• Collating and reviewing documentation and evidence, including medical records.
• Obtaining medical evidence.
• Instructing counsel.
• Taking witness statements.
• Attending case conferences.
• Complying with internal procedures.
The Ideal Candidate
• Experience of working on CFA and legal aid-funded cases and experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to research, analyse and evaluate legal concepts and related issues.
• Experience in dealing sensitively with clients and working with vulnerable clients.
• Previous experience of Clinical Negligence work is essential.
