Applications are invited for practicing clinicians in the field of Cardiometabolic field, to work within Prof. Simon de Lusignan’s clinical informatics and health outcomes research group. The successful applicant will be medically qualified using computerized medical record (CMR) system as part of their day-to-day practice (e.g.EMIS web or TPP Systm One). They will demonstrate the ability to map clinical concepts in research studies to the relevant coding system/clinical terminology using SNOMED CT. Responsibilities will include independently reviewing all study protocols, identifying variables required, develop and deliver relevant sets of clinical terms ready for data extraction. You will ensure documentation of, and adherence to, all safety and information governance activities as required by regulation and legislation. You will have full GMC registration and have completed foundation training and have experience of recording information in patient records using clinical terminologies. The role will require you to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be based in the Eagle House, 7 Walton Well Road, Oxford OX2 6ED. This is a part-time position (1 day/week) and is funded one year in the first instance. The closing date for applications is noon on 31 January 2024. “Committed to equality and valuing diversity”
