GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a highly successful engineering company located in Worcester. We are currently supporting their recruitment for a CNC Machinist to join their team on full time, permanent contract.
Our client is a lead provider of the windows and doors sector predominantly working with the fixtures and fittings being supplied to the engineering services sector across a wide scope of industries.
The working week for this role is as follows: Monday - Friday 08:00am -17:00pm
The successful candidate will be offered an annual salary of up to 30,000 per annum which is dependent on experience.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate previous CNC Machining experience preferably working within an engineering or manufacturing business.
CNC Machinist Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Set up production runs to 1st off inspection, carry out relevant quality checks where designated & optimise production where applicable
- Recommend any possible improvements to support the drive throughout the Metal Forming area
- Organizes & monitors all machinery & equipment so that it is maintained & cleaned to a high standard, reporting any electrical, mechanical, or other faults to your Supervisor, or onto the maintenance database.
- Support machine operators in questions about running of parts through the Metal Forming area
- To actively participate in the team environment, showing respect to all staff at all times, and actively displaying good teamwork and attitude
- To carry out and undergo training in a safe and efficient manner, using all instruction data available, & updating all relevant documentation.
- To perform any reasonable duty requested by management, supervisor or team leader.
CNC Machinist Required skills and experience:
- Previous CNC machine operation experience essential.
- To be capable of setting/operating, & maintaining all cold forming process machinery, whilst displaying strong focus on continuous improvement.
- Customer focused, committed to quality & continuous improvement, & on time delivery.
- Safety and environmentally conscious.
- Good written & communication skills.
- Proactive planning, to ensure efficient production environment.
- Use of initiative to swiftly remedy tooling & process problems.
