Cnc Machinist

Our client are a distributor of processed steel products for various market sectors such as aerospace, medical, defence and other engineering sectors. Due to exciting sales and sustained growth they are seeking to recruit a CNC Machinist to add to their team.

The position will report to the Production manager and the main responsibility of the role is to operate and set a Fanuc 3 axis CNC milling machines.

Main duties are;

• To produce machined components by setting and operation of a Fanuc CNC 3 axis milling machine
• To produce components within the agreed time and to look to aid and improve methods of manufacture
• To maintain the machine tool set up by carrying out the necessary changes to compensate for tool wear and replace cutting tools, such as tips etc
• To aid with pre-setting and tool build up procedures as and when required
• To assist, when required, on other machinery within the machine shop

I would be keen on receiving applications from CNC Machinists with the following skills and experience;

• Experience of CNC machine experience, on Fanuc machines and 3 axis milling centres
• Able to carry out basic editing to programs
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Able to use quality measuring tools such as verniers, micrometres, gauges etc

The role is on days Monday to Friday - 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday 8am to 1pm Friday

The company are based in Redditch so are easily commutable from Droitwich, Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Worcester, Alcester, Solihull, Dudley, West Bromwich.
