Metalis is working with a specialist manufacturing company who build, assemble, test and develop high precision special purpose machinery. Our client is looking to add a CNC Machinist& Machine Tool Assembly Technicianto join their team at their Bedford site.
The Role:
- Operate and programme CNC Machine Tools,
- Mill and turn parts from engineering drawings.
- Experience of Siemens and Fanuc control systems desirable.
- Operate manual machinery, to mill, turn and grind parts.
- Assemble/fit, scrape and manually adjust high precision assemblies
- R&D test apparatus to micron tolerances.
- Control the workload of the machine shop and priority projects.
- Manage and plan the machine shop tooling availability
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested.
The Person:
- Proven mechanical engineering experience of working in a precision environment.
- Relevant Engineering qualification in a Mechanical discipline,
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Full UK Driving license

- Permanent vacancy
- 37 hours per week
- £32 - £38k per annum
