Hours: Monday Thursday: 7.00am 4pm and Friday: 7.00am 12.00 noon

Multi-Tech Engineering (UK) Limited is a privately owned engineering company who have been supplying a wide range of precision manufacturing services to the Power Generation, Marine, Aerospace, and Defence sectors since 1988. The company specialises in medium to heavy engineering, manufacturing a diverse range of components from drawings, 3D CAD models using CAM, design projects and samples.
Due to expansion in the turning and milling facility and the subsequent purchase of a brand new Doosan Puma 700LM Turning Centre, we are looking to recruit highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinists/ Programmer with high-level turning and milling skills.

Role & Responsibilities
- Manufacture components to drawings and specifications, working to high standards and a high level of precision and within the company quality, health and safety, and work control procedures
- Adhere to internal quality procedures and maintain the standards necessary to satisfy the company quality standards
- Assist in the development of Tooling Libraries and Standard Operating Procedures
- Assist in training and staff development including mentoring apprentices
- Identify and collaborate with continual improvement strategies
- Adhere to the company Health and Safety Policy and procedures
- Promote an employee-orientated company culture that emphasises quality, health and safety, continuous improvement, and high performance
You will have experience in
- Conversant in both ISO and conversational programming
- Lathes with milling capabilities
- Haas Machining Centres
- Manual lathe experience
- Hydraulic /Manual steadies and tailstocks
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience of working with castings, forgings, alloy and stainless steels
- Work up to 900mm in dia. and 3m in length
- Fanuc controls, 0ITF Plus and Fanuc Manual Guide 'I' operator system desirable but not essential, full training suite available with the machine
- Doosan Puma Turning Centres desirable but not essential, full training suite available with the machine
You will have qualifications and skills in
- Recognised Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
- Ability to produce high quality precision components to tight tolerances
- Be conversant with imperial/metric measurements and measuring equipment
- Be conversant with modern machining practices/methods and tooling
- CAM software knowledge would be advantageous but non-essential
- Understand technical drawings and geometric tolerance
- Methodical approach with a fine attention to detail
- Excellent time and utilisation skills
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
