Job description
Our Northamptonshire based client is looking for a CNC Turner to join them on a permanent basis.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:
With proven experience in a CNC Machine Shop environment programming and operating CNC machines with, preferably, Siemens controls, or Fanuc experience.
Generate CNC programmes via our CAD CAM package and on machine programming, producing precision components from 3D computer models and paper drawings.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Create, load, examine and modify CNC Turning programmes. • Set up tools and load materials onto CNC machine. • Carry out machining of components.
Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy. Carry out any other reasonable duties within capability as required by the Line Manager.
Compliance with all departmental H&S requirements
Compliance, where appropriate with management, & environmental, systems, such as ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
To play an active role in achieving departmental objectives such as cost reduction targets year on year, a reduction of external suppliers and an increase of in-house capabilities.
Experience::
CNC turning on DMG Mori (Siemens) / Haas lathes (Fanuc)
Setting, Operating and Editing Programs.
Live tooling experience an advantage
Preferably Siemens, or Fanuc controls experience is essential.
ONECNC XR5 3D experience a distinct advantage.
Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment.
Must have sound technical knowledge of the machine shop and its workings. • Computer literacy, strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.
Applicants should have a good general standard of education, with excellent written and spoken English.
Experience of working in motorsport and aerospace an advantage.

Pension - Upon joining the Company, you will be automatically enrolled, with contributions starting after successful completion of the probationary period.
Leave entitlement - 25 days per year plus statutory holidays (compulsory shutdown of three days at Christmas).
Working hours - 08:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
