SalaryOur client is looking for an experienced CNC Turner who is willing to be retrained into a Metal Spinner. The pay rate will increase over time once experience has been gained.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure that all CNC are set up correctly to the current procedure (including the correct selection of machine tools, rollers, back plates etc) within target time and as outlined in the manufacturing route
- Inspection of components produced
- Ensure full understanding of all production requirements and implement measures to remain competent and able to produce conforming components
- Inspection - use inspection equipment (Vernier, micrometer, PI tape, CMM and FARO Arms) to ensure that all components are manufactured as per the relevant engineering drawing and within the tolerances stated
- Material handling
Spin Forming:
- Maintain and continually develop knowledge of all machinery and processes
- Produce components within agreed cycle times
- Produce components that conform to all specifications listed on engineering drawings
- Produce components that satisfy all internal quality control measures
- Maintain visual checks throughout the spinning process and take corrective action where required
Requirements:
- Experienced CNC Machinist/Turner - at least 4 years
- Willing to be retrained as a Metal Spinner
- Qualified Modern Apprentice (or equivalent) in an Engineering related discipline
- Use of measuring equipment
- Ability to perform routine running adjustments such as wear compensation and tool offsets etc
