SalaryWe are currently recruiting a number of CNC Turner positions for an SME manufacturer based near Bradford. You need to be comfortable setting and operating a CNC Lathe and working a days' shift pattern. CNC Turner - Role and Responsibilities - Machining, Precision Engineering, Machine Shop, Turning, Lathe
* Finishing work to tight tolerances (under 0.010")
* Tight surface finishes working to 125 CLA and below
* CNC experience, using Fagor, Fanuc, or Siemens controls
CNC Turner - Skills and Abilities - Machining, Precision Engineering, Machine Shop, Turning, Lathe
* Have a formally recognised apprenticeship covering CNC and centre lathe turning (shaft work) or 5 years experience turning the work pieces described above
* Threading experience in taper and parallel threads, preferably oil and gas API threading
* Has experience of throwing jobs, using end caps, spiders, thimbles, using 4 jaw and 3 jaw chucks.
* Worked with exotic metals e.g. inconel, hardened non-magnetic steel, austenitic stainless steel, nickel alloys
* Use of Imperial and Metric internal/external micrometers, verniers, tri micrometres.
* Competently read engineering drawings including geometric tolerances
