Job Title: Business Development Manager - Aluminium System Fabricators
Industry Sector: Fenestration Industry, Architectural Aluminium Fabricators, Aluminium Systems, Curtain Walling, Windows, Doors, Facades, Architectural Glazing, Cladding and Building Envelope
Area to be covered: North - ideally based M62 Corridor
Remuneration: £45,000-£47,000 Neg. + up to 20% Commission

The role of the Commercial Manager/ Account Manager - Aluminium System Fabricators will involve:
- Field sales position the design selling a manufactured range of architectural aluminium windows & doors and curtain walling systems
- Selling into and managing relationships with circa 12 aluminium fabricators across the North
- 70%-80% account management role, 20-30% new business development on-boarding/ recruiting new aluminium fabricators
- Circa £5m revenue responsibility, established area
- Area has historically performed well against budget expectation
- Typical projects include: high rise residential, commercial office, healthcare and education
- Working closely with other field sales professionals who are responsible for winning specifications with architects and also managing the trade and retail customers
- Utilising in-house CRM system
- Customer accounts up to £750,000 turnover
The ideal applicant will be a Commercial Manager/ Account Manager - Aluminium System Fabricators with:
- Construction field sales experience
- Must have sold into fabricator customers
- Aluminium systems field sales experience is not essential, open to uPVC, composite etc.
- Fenestration industry experience preferred
- Potentially open to experience working for aluminium fabricators
- Must have sold associated products such as; aluminium windows & doors, curtain wall, rainscreen cladding, architectural aluminium, panels, external wall insulation and other building envelope systems
- Autonomous/ self-starter
- Contacts within aluminium fabricators may be advantageous
- Relationship building/ account management skills
- Comfortable with a technical sell
- Ability to sell on quality over price
- Tenacious, people person with bags of personality
