Your new role
A Commercial Finance Manager role, reporting to the Head of Finance. The role will be an interesting mix of BAU reporting and analysis, Commercial work and ad-hoc projects. You will manipulate & analyse data to identify trends and create strategies to increase profitability. Using your commercial knowledge and influencing skills you will partner with senior stakeholders to enhance business performance & achieve KPIs. You will also be a key contact for Operational and Senior Management Teams as well as working cross functionally with the Group Shared Services team. This will include: Contributing to the annual budgeting process by providing insight based on trends. Undertaking various project work such as automation & systems improvement. Working with Accounts to understand monthly performance and key drivers by store. Reviewing site by site performance at a granular level in order to improve performance and undertake benchmarking exercises at margin and opex level. Identifying process gaps and improve them by working cross functionally. Analysing new initiatives such as supplier changes or new product launches. Understanding the businesses core KPIs and working with the regional operational lead to drive these. Preparing weekly & monthly dashboards to give clear visuals for non-financial managers.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant, with strong management & commercial accounting skills in large and complex organisations. You will be a highly motivated individual who can influence others, with your business partnering skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills will be essential and previous exposure to ERP systems an advantage. You will have s strong commercial awareness and enjoy driving profitability. A logical and tenacious approach whilst demonstrating a will to succeed. You will be available immediately or at very short notice and happy to commit to a Fixed Term Contract of initially 6 months.
