An award-winning Manufacturing company in Deeside is currently recruiting for an experienced Cost Accountant to join its busy finance team, in an exciting, newly created position.
Reporting into the FD, As Cost Accountant, you will be the main point of contact for the senior stakeholders across the business, both in the UK and across Europe.
You will be joining a high growth business, who is looking for someone to be an instrumental part of the commercial decision making, reviewing yield and labour costs, reporting on key business drivers and helping the business grow to the next level.
An excellent opportunity for someone to join a business and make an immediate commercial impact but also looking for a position that offer progression.
The business is specifically looking for someone from Ecommerce, Retail, Consumer, B2C background and would suit anyone from a Finance Business Partnering, FP&A or Cost Accounting background
As Cost Accountant your role will involve:
- Produce weekly trading reports of business performance and highlight trends to Directors and key stakeholders.
- Daily performance reporting
- Capacity modelling / visibility
- Increase the automation of reports through transferring reports from Excel to Power BI
- Pro-actively develop innovative reports and analyses to better challenge and support commercial decision-making in an evolving environment.
- Support the Finance team with preparing budgets and forecasts and subsequently, report actual performance against these forecasts
- Engage in continuous improvement of existing reports to make the processes more efficient and effective
- Ad-hoc analysis for senior stakeholders, as required
To apply for the role you must be:
- From a Ecommerce, Retail, Consumer, B2C background
- Have strong Cost Accountant, FP&A / FBP / Commercial Finance experience
- Experienced working within a brand led business
- Highly experienced in Excel & modelling
- A strong communication, reporting into senior managers and Directors as well as ability to work across functions
- Comfortable working to tight deadline when applicable
