We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Accountant to join our clients growing Finance team. Our client is a large and well established group, who have a fantastic reputation within their sector. They now have an opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Accountant to take a lead role in a profitable and highly regarded division of this excellent business. Based near Ormskirk, our client has large, modern offices and is known as an excellent place to work.
Key responsibilities:
- This is a broad and varied hands-on position where you will play a key commercial role. Working closely with the MD and Head of FP&A you will provide insightful analysis and support business decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis against budget and forecasts, providing detailed explanations for discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain financial models.
- Business Partnering - you will be working closely with the FC and MD of your entity to provide financial support and insights to drive performance and profitability of your entity.
- You will assist with the financial and scenario modelling to support the review of new product launches and commercial pricing analysis.
- You will provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support strategic decisions.
- Monitor product (KPIs) and financial metrics, and report on financial performance.
- Analyse cost and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Support with other ad hoc group finance projects.
Key skills:
- Fully Qualified or studying towards recognised accountancy qualification.
- This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
- Strong Communication skills and ability to communicate to senior stakeholders form day one.
- Strong Excel skills with data manipulation and financial modelling
