SalaryTalentedge are actively recruiting for a Commercial Analyst for a growing Entertainment business based in Central London for Hybrid working paying GBP45-50k
Responsibilities include:
• Analyse financial and non-financial data to create actionable insight to the future profitability• Support the Head of Finance in delivery of the budgeting and forecasting process• Assist in developing reporting, forecasting and budget models to support the business as necessary, including regular KPI reporting• Liaise with key stakeholders to agree pricing and commission requirements• Review royalty statements and distribution to royalty holders• Maintain a financial database and lead the transferring and integration of acquisitions• Support the team with queries.• Contribute to the preparation of the monthly management accounts, challenging results to ensure accuracy and providing reporting and analysis as appropriate• Actively work with operational management, carrying out research to identify opportunities to grow revenue and profit• Challenge and control the making of informed business decisions, using both financial and non-financial metrics• As required, prepare information in support of strategic presentations. Understand the needs and wants of key stakeholders to provide them with what they need• Prepare thorough and consistent models, challenging assumptions, preparing sensitivity and return on investment analysis• Build key stakeholder relationships and communicate frequently with teams to ensure costs are tracked and data is accurate• Carry out periodic quality checks• Assist with internal and external audits• Respond to ad-hoc data and analysis requests in a timely and effective manner• Act always in accordance with values and ethics• Any adhoc duties as and when requiredSKILLS & EXPERIENCE• Minimum three years' financial/commercial analysis experience, ideally in entertainment/media• Strong financial understanding• Proficient in building budgets• Well organised, process driven, and delivery focused• Ability to turn complex concepts into simple language• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel creating macro's and PowerBI also desirable
