Are you a Content professional with a Commercial mindset?

The FA have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Content Producer to join the team on a fixed-term basis. You will be responsible for creating and delivering outstanding video content for our Commercial and Marketing strategy on multiple digital platforms, with a focus on unique branded and organic content.

What will you be doing?

  • Create commercial video content in line with commercial digital strategy and develop original content and formats for official FA channels.
  • Work with the Senior Commercial Content Manager & Commercial Content Coordinator to deliver commercial partner digital campaigns for The FA's brands (England, Emirates FA Cup, Adobe Women's FA Cup, England Football)
  • Transform branded content briefs into engaging audience-first content to achieve partner objectives and KPIs.
  • Manage FA commercial creative and production agencies to deliver branded content projects.
  • Proactive in suggesting branded content ideas for different channels and FA audiences.
  • Be able to manage multiple projects at various stages of production and provide regular status updates.
  • Ability to bring the best out athletes and influencer talent on camera.
  • Remain up to date with the latest trends and technologies, for branded content production, and share these with the wider Content Team.
  • Be able to work with key and senior stakeholders across The FA as well as official FA partners and their agencies.
  • Be part of a driven digital content team that constantly seeks to improve output, process and working culture.
  • Be able to work independently and be proactive and positive in problem-solving.
  • Work on KPI's and communicate results and success of content with our agencies.
  • Support wider video team across England teams, FA Competitions and participation channels.
  • When required, work with external agencies to improve The FA's overall video content offering and processes.
  • Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.
  • As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.

What are we looking for?

Essential for the role:

  • Strong understanding of branded video on owned and third-party channels and a willingness to innovate and embrace new technology and ideas.
  • Able to translate/distil/simplify a brand brief into a content brief, to align with the audience into best-in-class content.
  • Commercially minded but exceptional at creating amazing content that happens to be branded and delivers against KPIs.
  • Ability to know what content works for football audiences and how brands can engage with this.
  • Proven in creating branded video content.
  • The ability to lead branded content production shoots.
  • Managing post-production workflow and ability to share clear and concise feedback promptly.
  • Working with high-profile stakeholders.
  • Creating content for audiences across all demographics.
  • Background in sports and working with high-profile individuals or athletes.
  • Experience with various post-production and production workflows.
  • Presenting Data as a measure of success.
  • Proactive and creative around setting standards with video.

Beneficial to have:

  • Excellent understanding of what makes entertaining sport content.
  • Proficiency in SONY Fx6 cameras or equivalent.
  • Distribution and promotion of content.
  • Paid media and strategies.
  • Professional experience in Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Prelude.
  • Experience in video asset management, tagging and logging.
  • Experience in After Effects and ability to create and utilise graphics.

Please note, this role is advertised on a fixed-term basis up until December 2024.

Our Organisation

The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.
