Salary: £32,952 - £38,613 per annum

The BFI is seeking a LFF Cinema Content Producer who will play a critical role in the delivery of the BFI London Film Festival.

About the role

Working with other Cinema Content Producers and the wider LFF Content team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all necessary Digital cinema and video content is produced and distributed in a professional, high quality and timely way.

Fixed Term Contract: 19 August – 25 October 2024

Key responsibilities include:

  • As part of the LFF Content team, to ensure that all DCP, video and audio content required for the London Film Festival is of a world-class standard and is ready for delivery to its screening location on schedule.
  • To keep abreast of developments in DCP creation standards, hardware, software and systems to ensure that all DCPs are created to the highest quality and meet all required DCI specifications for transfer and screening.
  • To be aware of an act in accordance with BFI’s environmental sustainability plans and approach at all times
  • To work with the LFF Marketing and Events Teams to ensure that all Marketing and Event content is produced to a high standard and to schedule across the LFF.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Good knowledge of Digital Cinema, including DCP creation, subtitling and distribution processes 
  • Good working knowledge of all aspects of cinema and video screening media, including all video and audio codecs, framerates, subtitling and aspect ratios 
  • An understanding of the international film industry and current issues within it
  • Ability to use initiative and work as part of a technical team working to a flexible roster.
