We are currently working with a leading UK Employment Services/Managed Services provider to recruit a Commercial Analyst to work on a hybrid/remote basis from home, with occasional visits to an office in the Rotherham area
The team is currently expanding to meet the increasing need for commercial support on new and existing contracts and projects. The Commercial Analyst will report directly to the Contract Manager and be responsible for data collection, modelling, analysis and reporting across a portfolio of contracts.
The role is highly diverse and offers experience in a wide range of business skills and disciplines including exposure and interaction with various teams and levels of senior management within the business.

Candidate requirements:
- Degree Educated in a relevant field
- Familiar with reporting tools and basic knowledge of SQL
- Demonstrable advanced knowledge of MS Excel and database systems essential
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to build financial models
- Experience in change management and transformation plans
- Some business exposure, with the confident and ability to manage and challenge stakeholders where necessary
- Strong influencer, with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, fluent written and verbal English, comfortable interfacing at all levels
- Comfortable working under pressure and at pace; able to demonstrate working within a team and to own initiative, taking responsibility for continuously driving improvements
- Highly motivated, ambitious, and organised
Role responsibilities:
- Building models for analysis and bringing insight into trends and variances
- Reviewing and carrying out intrinsic detailed analysis of financial metrics such as cost and revenue
- Working with key stakeholders in commercial, operations, procurement, finance and HR
- Ownership of data collection processes
- Involvement in key projects to enhance the performance of the business
- Preparation of analysis and data for presentations, business cases and reviews
- Understand the end to end billing process on key contracts.
- Challenge and support operational stakeholders when measuring performance
- Analyse and interpret large volumes of financial data and draw conclusions, including the identification of risks and opportunities
- Support the commercial team in providing key information in order to resolve issues and disputes
- Assist in activities such as benchmarking, contract variations and amendments to payment mechanisms.
