This role sits within a new commercial function which concentrates on Business Partnering and driving an analytical culture, which improves decision making and helps uncover ways of improving the companies business model - with a relentless focus on making things better.

My client is an award winning manufacturer and supplier of a diverse range of products within the FMCG sector. They are a family owned company with a rich heritage and pride themselves of supplying their ever growing customer base with the best products on the market.

Description

  • Focussed attention on both sales & margin analysis and cost structures.
  • Business partnering the channel directors and their teams.
  • Providing support to the teams through timely information, professional advice, and interpretation of data to actively participate in decision making process.
  • Analysis of sales volume, price reviews, product costs and margins, review, and analysis of promotional and marketing spend, ensuring the funds are utilised in the most effective manner to maximise profit.
  • Responsible for analysing new customer contracts and signing of existing joint business plans.
  • Pulling together relevant KPI based analysis for the sales teams to provide adequate information to help them manage the business with as efficiently as possible.
  • Heavy involvement in the process of budgeting and forecasting for the business - owning the models.
  • Communicating effectively with the teams on a regular basis and providing the necessary challenges, thereby securing the delivery of the forecasts.

Profile

  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified
  • Highly driven and personally motivated.
  • Comfortable working with people at all levels in the organisation - from the leadership team to the shop floor.
  • Keen to roll their sleeves up and get stuck into things.
  • Sharp business mind that can spot opportunities and recognise better ways of doing things.
  • Able to connect thinking together - recognising interdependencies and inconsistencies.
  • Very comfortable working with data - a wizard with Excel and other tools.
  • Ambitious and keen to make a real difference - not just coming up with ideas, but implementing them and seeing them through with teams across the business.
