The Role
The Law Society represents solicitors in England and Wales. From negotiating with and lobbying the profession's regulators, government and other decision makers, to offering training and advice, we're here to help, protect and promote solicitors.
As Commercial Finance Business Partner for our Commercial and Member Experience business unit you will create an active partnership with both operations and management. You will provide 'real time' support and analysis, be a trusted adviser and add value that will assist in decision making.
You will be responsible for business planning, forecasting, financial reporting and financial control. You will work closely with the business to ensure that budget holders monitor and understand their business performance and financial position.
What we're looking for
You will be fully a qualified accountant with a commercial mindset and strong understanding of a business to include strategy, the competitive environment, commercial drivers, processes, systems, culture, and the influence to get things done.
Experienced in working with Directors and senior staff and dealing with sensitive information, you will build the trust of teams and work in alignment to organisational values.
You'll enjoy working in change environments and helping to foster a culture that encourages experimentation and learning.
An understanding of events, training, advertising, subscription-based income models and membership bodies would be advantageous.
What's in it for you
This is an excellent opportunity to work with contemporary thinkers in a progressive membership organisation. The successful candidate will join a strong brand with a reputation for excellence and legal expertise, committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and a culture of excellence, trust, clarity and respect.
We offer hybrid working, a generous flexible benefits package, a friendly working environment and the opportunity to develop your career within a professional organisation.
Please note: if you are an internal applicant, Pay Policy will apply.
