An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Trainee Commercial Finance Business Partner to join a fast paced, multi-sited Internationally successful organisation based in London.
This role would suit a highly numerate graduate who is looking for a role that sits within Commercial Finance and is Business Partnering in nature. You will enjoy working closely with Client Managers, Sales, Corporate Finance and the legal team. Responsibilities:
- Facilitate in timely collection & processing of royalty statements
- Working with Accounts Receivable to raise invoices for Licensees
- Monitoring receivables and liaising with the company’s Credit Control and Licensing Sales teams to achieve timely collection of royalties
- Preparing Client Statements in accordance with the company’s reporting obligations per Client Representation contracts in timely manner for the Finance Manager to review and forward the statements to Clients
- Instructing Accounts Payable (WNS) to make payment of client’s share revenue
- Arrange commission transfers on a bi-weekly basis.
- Coding up Supplier invoices and liaising with Accounts Payable to arrange timely payment.
- Receive and resolve internal financial queries as well as those from licensees, clients and auditors when required. (e.g. process structure, required documentation, calculation breakdowns)
- Post month-end journals: revenue /cost accruals, bad debt provisions as well as write offs. Post clearing entries and reinstate balances when necessary.
- Perform reconciliations and assist with monthly management reports as required (COS and G&A analysis, reserve projections, revenue variances).
- Assist the senior finance team with preparing Quarterly royalty projections
- Assist the senior finance team with process improvements.
- Assist with preparing analytics to the business.
- Provide absence cover for other members of the Finance Team.
- Support the Finance team with Ad hoc analysis and reports
Requirements:
- Degree level qualifications

- High level of numeracy
- Intermediate to Advanced MS excel skills
