Robert Walters are delighted to be supporting our client, who are a leading, listed real estate developer across the UK, on the recruitment of a Commercial Finance Manager. This role will be based mainly in Watford but also involve working from the London office. The successful candidate will have the chance to be part of these landscape-defining buildings from start to finish, whilst developing their career in a FTSE100 company. The Commercial Finance Manager will partner with the Project Director in leading and challenging across all aspects of the project to ensure successful delivery against the business plan.
What you'll do:
As a Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial aspects of planning and delivering projects. You will be responsible for influencing stakeholders, producing detailed reports on site progress, reviewing profit forecasts, advising on potential risks, coaching teams on financial processes, providing commercial recommendations, coordinating divisional requests for project information, managing system changes, and conducting financial risk assessments. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the successful delivery of one of the most prestigious developments in Westminster and London.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Commercial Finance Manager role is a qualified accountant with demonstrated commercial acumen. You are highly IT literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and have a fast learning ability for new systems. Your interest in the construction industry will be beneficial in this role. You possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across different levels of seniority. Your excellent report writing skills, ability to review and challenge profit forecasts, experience in advising on potential risks and planning contingencies, and strong coaching skills make you an ideal fit for this role.
