THE ROLE
A Commercial Litigation Senior Knowledge Development Lawyer is sought to join the highly regarded litigation practice which advises on the full range of corporate and commercial disputes.
The team represents clients in High Court litigation, international and domestic arbitration, and manages proceedings in other jurisdictions, as well as co-ordinating proceedings in more than one jurisdiction. Much of the work is truly international and often multi-jurisdictional.
This role involves supporting the Commercial Litigation groups in fulfilling their strategic objectives.
It will require inter alia,
Technical legal expertise - maintaining your own and the team's cutting-edge knowledge of law and practice as it relates to Commercial Litigation including keeping the global team and other relevant practice groups up-to-date with legal and market developments through training, organising team meetings, preparing current awareness updates.
Client-facing activities - Working with partners and other fee earners to ensure relevant and appropriate legal developments are communicated to the firm's clients in a coherent, proactive and timely manner.
Legal training - Identifying relevant topics and training needs for the Commercial Litigation groups and designing and presenting sessions
Standard forms/precedents - Developing and maintaining key precedents and clause libraries for the Commercial Litigation groups. Working with the firm's Document Automation Manager to automate the drafting of key precedents to improve recoveries and manage risk on the group's matters.
Knowledge management and Know-how delivery systems as well as collaboration and innovation
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have 5pqe+ and rounded legal experience gained at a large law firm, including market knowledge of Commercial Litigation.
Previous experience as a Knowledge Development Lawyer is desirable but the firm is open to applications from lawyers looking to make their first move into a KDL role.
