The Role
As a Commercial Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Reporting to the framework director, undertaking and supporting the Nuclear Technical Services Provider (NTSP) framework.
Day to day, you'll be supporting the NTSP framework, that is supporting the Clyde Infrastructure Programme (CIP) and wider Royal Navy and defence requirements. Its primary focus will be on delivering the refurbishment and upgrade of critical infrastructure at HMNB Clyde.
This role is a full-time position that is contracted at 37 hours a week will be based at our Glasgow site, with hybrid working from home arrangements.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. We are happy to consider flexible, blended working, including part-time, condensed hours, and job sharing. Please ask about alternative patterns of work at interview.
Essential Experience of the Commercial Manager:
- Varied experience of large and complex construction projects.
- Relevant successful experience of provision of QS services in a large project environment.
- Understanding of project management, planning risk, and investment processes.
- Knowledge of civils infrastructure and construction industry conditions of contract.
- Expereince of working in a client facing / client management role.
- Ideally, have a well-developed and practical knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 PSC and good familiarity with associated NEC suite of contracts.
- CEMAR expereince if preferred but, not essential.
Qualifications for the Commercial Manager:
- Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status is desirable but, not essential.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
