Stonegate Group is looking for a Commercial Planning Business Partner to join our business and support our Craft Union and Pub Partners Estate. This is a great role if you’re commercially astute with a holistic perspective – we need you to see the bigger picture and use that knowledge (backed with data) to success in this role You may be a finance analyst looking for a true Business Partner role or a Commercial program graduate, looking for an opportunity to support the development and execution of commercial strategies across our business.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Planning, you will analyse data, identify trends, and assist in creating plans to optimize pricing, promotions, and sales initiatives. Your analytical skills and passion for the hospitality industry will contribute significantly to our ongoing success and the achievement of our commercial objectives.
The Commercial Planning Business Partner will be responsible for:
- Pricing and Promotions: Assisting in evaluating pricing strategies and promotional activities to optimise revenue and profitability while ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Sales Performance Tracking: Monitoring and analyse sales data across sites and product categories, preparing reports and presenting findings to aid in decision-making.
- Budget Support: Contributing to the ongoing analysis of sales levers, and performance versus targets.
- Commercial Analytics: Using data analysis tools to evaluate the effectiveness of commercial initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and propose actionable solutions.
- Product Portfolio Management: Supporting the product management team in evaluating product performance
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with marketing, operations, and procurement teams to ensure smooth execution of commercial strategies and alignment across all departments.
- Commercial Planning Projects: Collaborating on special projects related to Commercial Planning and other strategic initiatives as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in a Finance or a Business related field - this is desirable but not essential
- Outstanding Excel Skills and a curiosity about data
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a drive to contribute to the company's growth and success
- Proven experience in a financial analysis Commercial Planning or similar analytical role, preferably within the hospitality or food and beverage industry.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software for Commercial Planning and reporting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to stakeholders.
